Giovanni Paisello is considered a forgotten genius in the world of opera, and NINA was influential in the Opera world during the Romantic era. Cecilia Bartoli portrays Nina, the heroine driven mad by the death of her lover, and as usual she shines in the role. This 1998 production was staged by the Zurich Opera and was produced by Cesare Lievi.
